An amazing experience down at the Christchurch Commons - dancing, music and lots of colour throwing! This was a great start to the weekend and also a great way to start our "Celebrating Difference" Inquiry!
We are learning to make 1000 as our number inquiry and make an 'explain everything video' to show our learning!
https://youtu.be/znNZRDOwBqI Can you spot the mistakes with the number 1000 in the video? Why is the number '0' so important?? This lesson teaches us about creating things on the internet.
https://www.digitalpassport.org/missionpage/Copyright%20%2526%20Creation Once this is complete there is a short quiz to sit to make sure you know how to be safe in the cyber world and get your license! Click the link below: http://goo.gl/forms/b1cvqVtUj4 We found out about the beach that lots of NZ citizens have paid for today that is up in Awaroa in the Able Tasman! We then interviewed Mrs Curtis' friend Pip who has a bach in Awaroa and she described all the amazing things about the beach! Did you know you can't get there by car?! You have to either boat in, walk in, or get a small plane in? How awesome! Now it is heads down and describing what we know about this beach of ours. I wonder if we could persuade Mr Rush we need to take a field trip there?!
Better get researching....! Last week we went on a hunt to find all the letters of the alphabet and complete the questions all based on our number system! We had great fun working in small groups to answer all the problems - just before the rain set in!
