We had the fantastic news about Dylan recently. Dylan has been playing for the U9 t-ball team for Halswell and they won their grade championship. Dylan also was awarded Player of the Year at his prizevgiving! Awesome work Dylan. Dylan's dad also recieved T-Ball coach of the year. So there is lots of celebrating in the Creighton household!
Great work Dylan and Derek - enjoy your trophies! We had so much fun today experimenting with Incredibox an awesome music making website! You drag in the beat, voices, instruments etc which makes an awesome sounding track every time!
I wonder who will go home and try this at home? We finished our Digital Passport unit at the end of last week. We really enjoyed learning how to stay safe on our devices using an interactive approach.
Tips to staying safe: - do not share your password with anyone - do not tell people on line any information about yourself - stay on websites that are approved by your teacher or parents - never write anything mean about others on the internet - once something is on the internet it can never be deleted so be careful with comments and pictures - be respectful with all devices

We are super lucky to have our amazing red zone space. When Mrs Morriss looked around today she saw busy people everywhere! People working at tables alone, in groups, using high tables, low tables, beanbags, kneeboards and the floor! Every type of learner, learning in our awesome space!
Today, Mrs Morriss' reading groups discussed what types of books we like to read and what different topics interest us. Wow, there was such a variety of ideas! Looks like we will be reading about sea creatures, vikings, dragons, sports, fairy tales, comics........and much, much more! What do you like to read? Do you have a favourite author or type of book?
Sophie brought in two chrysalis from home yesterday for us to take a look at. They were both green but one had a few black spots. This morning that chrysalis was completely black and we could see the outline of the butterfly's amazing wing. We shared facts that we knew about caterpillars and butterflies and then before we knew it, the butterfly had burst out from its chrysalis! We watched as it dried its wings in preparation to fly away. Thanks so much Sophie, for an amazing learning opportunity!
