We are a week into our swimming lessons and it is impressive to see what great swimmers we have in HB 32 & 33! I'm sure there will some exhausted children on Friday seeing the amount of lengths some were swimming today! Keep up the great effort Team Spark!
We had our first Keeping Ourselves Safe (KOS) session with Constable Maire Froud today. By the end of this unit we will be experts at knowing what to do in all types of situations and how to find help if we need it.
On Wednesday, we read a fantastic story about an Elephant Seal called Elizabeth, who lived in the Avon River in the 1980's. We had lots of fun discussing what that would have been like and wondered if any of the Team Spark parents or Grandparents remember seeing Elizabeth?
Hey everyone! Farewell from Mrs SW! I've loved being part of Team Spark for Terms 1 and 2! I'll miss you all, but I'll see you around soon! Have fun with Mr Goetz, Mrs Cummings and Mrs Morriss. Keep working hard and learning every day! You rock!
The holidays are just over half way through! The teachers are busy working on plans for Term 3! Why not leave us a message with what you're up to??

In maths we have been learning about symmetry, rotation and reflection. For a bit of fun today, we took pictures of ourselves, cut them in half and attempted to draw our reflection. Take a look at Jack and Paris' examples.
Today for writing, we had a huge discussion about New Zealand changing their flag. We looked at both sides of the argument and talked about why this should or shouldn't happen. We are going to be writing a persuasive piece of writing this week supporting one side. What are your families thoughts on this topic? |
